COSE405: Computer Science Colloquium, 2026 Fall

Weekly invited talks by speakers from academic institutions and industry. Each session is a 50-minute talk followed by an on-the-spot Q&A.

Materials: each speaker is asked for reading material or their slides, shared after the talk on the LMS.
Language: the course is offered in English, but the language of the talk and the slides is up to the speaker; some may be in Korean.

Grading

This course is graded pass/fail. You pass if you meet all three:

attend at least 11 of the 13 talks — checked with a code, starting on September 9 (not at the orientation);
submit at least 11 of the 13 weekly reports — a review of the talk and any material the speaker shares, due 23:59 on Saturday; and
submit both essays — pick the single most memorable talk in the range and say why:
- midterm by October 24 — among the talks from September 9 to October 14
- final by December 19 — among the talks from October 28 to December 9

Each report and essay is 1 page (A4) in English or Korean, submitted on the LMS.
